Form & Light Studio is founded by Mohamed Rageeb, a Canberra-based photographer working across architectural, event and fine art photography.
The studio is grounded in a simple idea: photography is the study of form revealed by light. Every project is approached with this in mind, focusing on how light shapes structure, defines space, and brings clarity to what is seen.
Architecture
The studio’s architectural work begins from a simple interest: how light defines structure, how space is experienced, and how material and detail contribute to a cohesive whole. The approach is measured and precise, with careful attention to composition and the relationship between light and built form.
The architectural portfolio is a self-initiated study of Canberra’s public buildings — Anzac Hall at the Australian War Memorial, the National Museum of Australia, the Shine Dome, and buildings across the Australian National University. It is work made to a professional standard, on the studio’s own initiative, as a record of the capital’s civic architecture.
Form & Light Studio is available for architectural and interior commissions for architects, designers, developers and builders, translating design into imagery that is both accurate and atmospheric.
Event Photography
The studio photographs corporate and institutional events across Canberra and the ACT — conferences, award nights, product launches, building openings, board functions and staff gatherings. Clients include Cox Architecture.
The approach is documentary and editorial: observing how a room works, how people interact, and how light and space shape the character of an occasion. Coverage is discreet, capturing the formal moments alongside the unguarded exchanges that give an event its texture.
Fine Art Nature Photography
Alongside architectural work, the studio maintains a dedicated fine art practice focused on nature, wildlife, and landscape. This work explores form in its most natural state, observing how light reveals texture, scale, and presence across diverse environments.
From expansive landscapes to quiet encounters with wildlife, the imagery is contemplative and restrained. It seeks to convey a sense of stillness and connection, inviting the viewer to engage with the natural world beyond the surface of the image.
